MAISIS – Information Systems, participated as an exhibitor in a Knowledge Management event – KMWORLD 2009 - from November 17 to November 20, in San Jose, California. It was the only Portuguese company present as a sponsor in the exhibition (Silver Sponsor), among many American companies and few European companies.
Maisis’s new product successfully presented, OOBIAN (see product presentation and movie in
www.oobian.com), will be launched in the European Market in January 2010. The software platform is the result of more than 4 years of intern research and development effort, supported by Portuguese universities and institutes. OOBIAN is a management tool based on an intelligent navigation interface developed in
Microsoft Silverlight, able to link structured and unstructured data wherever they are - in or outside organizations.
Related to some semantic interpretation capacity based on ontologies, the usability and ease of viewing and linking contents dynamically through drillUp & drilldown, geo-referencing, reporting, etc, was worthy of great accolades, not only from visitants but also from competitors.
It is expected that, in the first quarter of 2010, the general public gets a free demo version of an OOBIAN sub-product - "New Interface Desktop Search" - for local use.
